Use the left panel for navigating around my site. The buttons are self expalinatory. In the Fun Stuff section I have some jokes, neat stories, and games. I sometimes use Yahoo messenger. I have a status banner on the left side for a quick way to tell if I'm on.
The ticker above is for general updates and while I am online to display status messages and any other info I feel like throwing up there.
